Christians Without God

I heard someone talk about people being Christians without God. I've given this phrase a lot of thought over the past few days and I've been listening to people evangelize on the radio.

This phrase bothers me quite a bit. It gives people a false security that they will go to heaven when they die. Frankly speaking, you CAN NOT be a Christian and not have God in your life. If you are a "Christian without God," you are NOT a Christian. You are a wretched, horrible, law-breaking person (just like me) unless you've repented and put your trust in Jesus.

The Bible says, "Those who now have God’s Spirit living in them will love what He loves and desire to do His will; they will have a hunger for His Word, a love for other believers, and a burden for the lost."

If you believe that you are a Christian and the above does not apply to your life, you are not a "Christian without God," you have NEVER become a Christian in the first place.

Just remember, have you ever told a lie, stolen anything, or used God's name in vain? Jesus said, "Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already commited adultery with her in his heart." Have you looked with lust? Will you be found guilty on Judgement Day? If you have done those things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer-at-heart. The Bible warns that if you hare guilty you will end up in Hell. That's not God's will. He sent His Son to suffer and die on the cross for you. Jesus took your punishment upon Himself: "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotton Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Then He rose from the dead and defeated death. Please, repent (turn from sin) today and trust in Jesus, and God will grant you everlasting life. Then read your Bible daily and obey it.

When one comes to a place of brokeness before God, repents, and trusts God to take over, one can't help but become hungry for His Word. One can't help to have His desires. So, if you believe you're a "Christian without God," please, examine yourself. You probably have never been born again. Please, don't let another minute go by saying that you'll do it later.
