I Think I Figured It Out...

Why is the church allowed to flourish virtually unchecked in the Republic of China? Argument of who controls the ROC aside, why is it that the church is so persecuted and illegal in China and not in Taiwan?

I think it's because the church in Taiwan doesn't pose a "threat" to the way of life. The church here sticks to itself. It exists in its own little Christian "world." The church in Taiwan is dry and stale. The church is too busy with the fluff messages of Olsteen, Warren, and those of like minds. No one (non-believers) cares about the Christian church because the message is that of a purpose-filled, abundant, best life, prosperity message. It is NOT the Gospel of Jesus Christ!!! There is little evidence that the church is alive and thriving in Taiwan.

Yet, in China, Christianity will turn the country upside down (or right-side up). The government knows that. Although, China's government attempts to put forth a different face, it still hates Christianity, and therefore, it's still illegal and people are beaten, put in jail and killed because of their belief in Christ.

Can you imagine the impact that a true revival in Taiwan would bring to Asian countries? Taiwanese people have an amazing opportunity to preach the Gospel and win souls for the Kingdom.

But yet, it's so sad that they don't want to offend anyone and distort the truth of the Gospel. Remember, you gain eternal life through repentence and trust in Jesus Christ alone...only then will you become a new creation and be changed from glory to glory!
