The Saddest Thing I've Ever Heard.

I had a conversation last night with a Taiwanese friend. She told me that many Taiwanese parents will tell their children, from an early age, time and time again, they hate them to their faces.

I thought she was joking; She wasn't.

Wow.

But then again, in a country with 22 million people, there are approximately 500,000 abortions per year.
