Repent and Witness Evangelism Boot Camp Day 4 at Union Square

We were blessed to have a huge crowd already gathered in Union Square when we arrived. There was a "Free Tibet and Taiwan" rally assembled. After speaking to the Taiwanese coordinator about my experience in Taiwan, he was going to allow me to use their PA system to share my experiences about persecution in Asia and at home as well as deliver the Gospel to hundreds of people. The coordinator also said that he would let us use their huge system as long as we wanted while they tore down.

However, the police said no...even though we had a permit for the next few hours. My friend, John, and I went to preach the Gospel anyway after their rally. I stood on one side of the crowd and John on the other. I called over the Taiwanese people in Chinese and told them about myself in Chinese. Then I told them about the persecution I have experienced and how I stand with them in their efforts. I proceeded to give them the Gospel, but some people thought I was a reporter paid off by the Chinese government to incite a riot. The crowd quickly grew closer and closer on top of me. It was scary, but I knew that God was right there with me. There were Tibetian and Taiwanese men whistling on top in my ear, causing my ears to hurt greatly. I turned around to one man who was doing this and stuck the bullhorn in his face in order to make him stop, but he did not. It was really amazing to experience these men treat a woman like this!!

I was not angry by their reactions, but so saddened by their situation. My heart breaks for these people to know the truth and to know what true freedom is in Christ Jesus.

But in the end, the police broke up the crowd and escorted me and some of my friends out of the crowd. Glory to God that the whole Gospel was preached to these people!!

Afterwards, the Tibetian leader came to apologize to me and the Lord allowed me to share the Gospel with him. There were reports from our laborers that it was so easy to share the Gospel with others afterwards, even with Buddhist monks! God will always take things that look like a bad situation and turn it around for His glory!

I am so grateful and feel so honored that God would grant me the privilage of delivering His Gospel to this crowd. I am not the best public speaker and when I get emotional my voice goes even higher and cracks, but wow! How the Lord would use such an imperfect person...Please pray for these people, not only that they would be saved, but also for their countries. Tibet and Taiwan are bullied by China...and Tibet has it worse.
