Kenya Update
My former pastor's wife who has contact with the Pallangyo family wrote an email to me about the situation and is as follows
It is a situation gone mad, enflamed by the demonic spirits of violence and revenge. Yes, Naivasha is one of the areas currently in the midst. There are many displaced persons in Jeremiah’s church compound, but no place is safe in the town. Our young friend, Jeremiah’s assistant and his wife and 6 month old baby boy had there home burned around them last night. They miraculously managed to escape and called us in shock from the police station on their cell phone. It isn’t safe there either. She is Kikuyu and he is not. Right now mixed marriages are being seen as treasonous by the tribes. The police aren’t really doing much to help because they are afraid, too. Jeremiah is in Nairobi as part of an attempt by Bishops to help in some way to mediate. Mama is still in N. I am concerned for her safety and the orphans. Prayer is the best thing right now. Thank you for joining with us and the Church for the family there. I have never heard Jeremiah shaken so. It is indeed a land in chaos at the moment and that is so scary.
Please, please, please, keep this family, who is so dear to my heart, these people and this land in prayer. I know that God is sovereign over all. May it all be to His glory.
Pastor Jeremiah, his wife, Beth and their kids.
