My dream teaching job?!?

I think I just found my dream teaching job in Israel. I've been looking at positions in Israel and came across this school: The Walworth Barbour American International School. (http://www.wbais.org/)

So get this...

Someone filled out an application for a Circuit City credit card in my name and charged some electronics on it...

I've only purchased one thing at Circuit City in my life and I put the purchase on my Mastercard...that means, someone from Circuit City took my information and got a credit card in my name.

UGH!!!!!

I hate being sick.

I have tonsilitis. I went to the ER at 1:15 am because of the pain that was shooting into my ear. I went to work today because I'm afraid if I called in (and use one of my sick days) there would be some backlash. Today is miserable for me!

Oh yeah, I also have 22 HUGE mosquito bites on my legs...my legs are so swollen!

I need an air conditioner soon.

A lazy afternoon in Anping!

The Tree House!!
Su Feng and I went to Tait and Co., which is the former British Merchant House in Anping, Tainan City. We got to tour the Tree House. There's a huge tree growing in the middle of the house and has overtaken the building!! They also had a museum called the Tayouan Early Settlers' Life and Culture Museum. It depicted as you can guess, the life of the Dutch in Taiwan. It was much like a typical museum of "the British meet the Native Americans..." It was pretty neat though. I had a fabulous afternoon with Su Feng!! So, here's some pictures from our afternoon.

I tried some Bean Jelly today and some other traditional foods. I got to make candy at the market!! It was really neat. The guy added something to the boiling sugar that made it rise and then it hardens. It tasted really good!

Nan-Shing English Camp

Our students who attend English Camp are learning ABCs. I had a brilliant idea to have the students make individual ABC books...and then I took it further...let's make our own paper!! So, I taught the students how to make paper by recycling used paper. It was really interesting to do with them. I had 50 sheets sopping wet lying around the classroom. They are drying over the weekend...We need to make about 100 more...two more weeks!

Welcome to Korea!

There was 8 of us in all that went. Anna went on her own somewhere two hours south of Seoul. I wanted to maximize our 2 days there, so Quetta and I kinda took off. This is what we covered in two days. I'm still amazed!

We went to a night market and had a traditional dinner. (What's it called again Paul)? I didn't eat it. I don't like beef. It was beef. Blech...

Our hotel was pretty nice and in a sweet location (across from one of the largest night markets in Seoul) and next to the subway!

I know I might get some flack for saying it...but it was so funny! (Don't leave me hate comments). There were so many little, little kids at the palace. They were really well behaved!! But when the teachers wanted them to move...it looked like they were hearding them!!
